CLIENT OBEJECTIVES:
Client wanted to reuse all equipment from there Eneabba operations which had been closed down and incorporate into the new HV infrastructure works proposed for their new Cataby mineral sands operation. Refurbishing that equipment testing and put back into operation with an additional 15-year life span.
CHALLENGES FACED:
Complex power line design and construct scope with many take-off points to booster skid stations, pumping stations, road crossings including the refurbishment of relocated 33 kV/11kV 12MVA & 3 MVA transportable substations and 33kV /11kV mining unit substation.
OUTCOME:
The client Iluka saw the JV as a win-win situation with each part of the overall project having experienced teams with the overall PM being carried out by BEC Engineering including testing and commissioning works.
